Dawn Must Come

The story is set in the post-WWII Pearl River, where life of the grassroots farmers are just as pathetic due to widespread corruptions between the landlords and the officials. At the centre of the plot is a young couple, who are forced to leave for Guangzhou but only run into more hardships.
